Life is not a straight road; it’s like a periodic function. The sine function will never stop oscillating, no matter the input. You can try y=Asin(Bx+C) (A changes the amplitude, B changes how fast it oscillates, and C shifts it left/right), but none of these will stop the “up-and-down motion”, we can only reshape it.
Being good in the mess is not for everyone. I believe it’s one of those skills that you either have or not (a talent). Of course, like any other skill, you can try to acquire it, but if it’s not your second nature, you will always struggle and eventually reach your limit. This inborn ability to swim through the hard waves of life and enjoy the ride is something not everyone is blessed with.
I was born for the storm, and the calm doesn’t suit me — Andrew Jackson.
I am a firm believer that if God gives you any skill, it is because you will need it. Anyone who has ever designed a game with a character who collects swords, shields, or any other weapons knows that each item is there for a reason. There will come a mission in which the only solution to pass it is to use that Kunai. One important point is that the mess can be in any job, even the most attractive ones, like being a football player or even a ballerina—and if you have any doubt, read any biography of Cristiano or Sylvie Guillem and you will know.
The sine function can become flat—a straight line (y=0⋅sin(x)y = 0). And the only example that comes to your mind when you hear “straight line” is a heart monitor—and we both know what that means: cardiac arrest (which is technically rest, haha).
