For someone coming from Morocco, I guess paying for Paramount or HBO was a myth, we even reached the level of feeling shocked when someone pays for it… because it’s out there on the internet, just watch it. I understand that every film and book represents years of creativity, dedication, and hard work, and if many people choose unauthorized copies, creators will earn less or even nothing, making it harder for them to fund and produce future projects… and for that reason I really thank all Paramount and HBO subscribers. And for all the people that don’t know how malicious (bad people) work (haha)… they create websites with multiple servers, and you go there and start watching, and when a server stops you go to the next…
All the introduction above was just to give you a background to understand this quote:
When you are watching a film or football match in a stream and you start changing servers, and nothing is working… maybe it’s better to change the website.
A lot of us keep insisting on making things work even if it’s dead, and I keep hearing sentences like “my destiny is to be…”, “I’m meant to be…” and they fill the gap with some job title. The only thing you are meant to be is a hard worker and someone who keeps moving no matter what. No job is below you or above you, be flexible, be open. You can read about how Johnny Depp or Jason Statham become actors will give you a fresh prospective, but the best one for me was Billy Bob Thornton journey. Billy originally wanted to be a musician. He played drums and sang in a rock band, he eventually moved to Los Angeles in the 80s and to survive he bounced around odd jobs far from his passion (Telemarketing, managing fast-food joint..). His turning point came down to pure luck. Thornton was working as a waiter at an industry event, and he happened to be serving a table where a legendary Hollywood writer and director Billy Wilder was sitting. Thornton struck up a conversation with Wilder and asked him what he should do if he wanted to become an actor. Wilder looked at him and gave him some an incredibly advice: he told him that he was too ugly to be a conventional Hollywood leading man (haha), and if he ever wanted to get a good part of any film, he had to write it himself. and the rest is History.
